Conservation of our water, land, and way of life are increasingly important in a changing world. Significant decisions are being made about the future of our communities and natural resources, often with little input from local voices. Watershed efforts are working to change this approach, giving local people the ability to master these changes in a way that conserves and protects the water, land and people. We focus on ways to connect changing landscapes and economies to preservation and restoration of natural resources and communities in Montana and the West.

REMINDER: Early registration is due by November 14.
A few scholarships are still available for eligible people on a first-come basis. See the registration page for more details.

Symposium speakers include Ed Marston, publisher emeritus of the High Country News, and Dr. Harry Fritz, Chair of the History Department at the University of Montana. Noted authorities on natural resources, conservation, economics, and changing demographics provide valuable information for anyone interested in understanding the changes occurring in Montana and the Interior West. Practical cases and examples of successes will give participants ways to use this knowledge to improve activities at home. For more details, please check the agenda and speakers list for more details.
